Announcing the death of Luther

Luther, my beloved Linux box hosted on an IBM PC 300PL, passed away today at around 02.00. JUST AS I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF EDITING MY SPEECH FOR TONIGHT'S VISION DINNER.

Vale Luther.

Vale my work since Tuesday evening - the last backup I took.

I am sure Luther could be revived, but he is past it in many ways, so it's easier to say good-bye and let him be buried in peace.
